September highlights include the opening of Track Spikes, an exhibition by artist Pat Hickman featured in the Ned Harris Gallery, curated by Joe Fusaro and an exhibition featuring works by artist Clare Kambhu featured in Building 35’s Main Gallery, also curated by Joe Fusaro.
Works by Clare Kambhu – This exhibition features Clare Kambhu’s work in Building 35’s Main Gallery at GARNER Arts Center in Garnerville, New York’s GARNER Historic District. The exhibition is an invitation for the community to contemplate their own experiences of schooling, learning in institutions, and even how portraiture can be accomplished without the presence of the human figure. The exhibition will feature special events for school and community groups, as well as opportunities to engage with the artist and curator.
Track Spikes – With this exhibition, Pat Hickman traces a fading history of strength, labor, human connection, and travel through the creation of a site-specific installation of railroad track spikes in the Ned Harris Gallery. The exhibition will feature special events for school and community groups, as well as opportunities to engage with the artist and curator.
Exhibition dates are September 7 – October 27, 2024. Gallery hours Fridays 2-5pm, Saturday and Sunday 1-5pm. Opening reception September 7, 2024 7-9pm. *Please note that normal gallery hours will not take place on Friday, September 6th nor Saturday September 7th.
