  • Management Office Hours are 9am – 5:30pm with the exception of major holidays.
  • Hours for individual businesses within the District may be found by checking under Visit – Business Directory – and Clicking on business website link.
  • Tenants may access their leased premises 24/7.
  • The Creekside Nature Walk & Sculpture Trail is open Dawn to Dusk.

  • Parking is first come-first served within the District. There are 3 parking fields, shown on the District Map under Visit – Directions as Parking Area A, B and C.
  • Parking is also available along Railroad Avenue between the Main Entrance and Bridge Street. Additional off-site street parking is available on Chapel Street.
  • Please adhere to Parking signage throughout the District. You may only park in designated spaces. Do Not obstruct fire zones or loading zones.

Handicapped parking spaces exist in several locations within Parking Area A.

Is the GARNER Historic District open on evenings and weekends?2023-05-18T16:06:01-04:00
  • Yes. The District is lit at night and some businesses are open to visitors in the evenings, including Hudson’s Mill Tavern, the Industrial Arts Brewing Company tap room, and the Apex training facilities. Check individual business websites for their hours under Visit – Business Directory. The Creekside Sculpture Trail is closed beginning at dusk.
  • Yes, the District is open on weekends. Some businesses are open to visitors on weekends, including GARNER Arts Center’s Building 35 gallery; the Visitors Center; Hudson’s Mill Tavern, the Industrial Arts Brewing Company tap room, and the Apex training facilities. Check individual business websites for their hours under Visit – Business Directory.
  • Weekend access may only be through the Main Entrance on Railroad Avenue and the Bridge Street entrance. The Wall Street entrance is typically closed on weekends.
What are the Rules for Photo and Video shoots and Filming?2022-07-29T12:26:39-04:00

Photo and Video shoots and Filming is by permit only. The District is a private facility. Please call the Management office at 845.947.1155 and press 0 for indoor and outdoor availability, fees and procedures.

Can I access the buildings and artist studios?2022-07-29T12:26:46-04:00

Not all the buildings are open to the public. Artist studios and most other buildings are generally accessible only by appointment with an individual artist or business, except during GARNER Arts Center’s Arts Festivals and other open studio events held throughout the year. To receive notification of these events, please visit www.garnerartscenter.org and provide your email address.

Is GARNER Historic District family-friendly? Pet-friendly?2022-07-29T12:26:52-04:00
  • Yes, we are definitely family-friendly and pet-friendly. Because this is a mixed-use facility with industry and trucking along with arts, cultural and retail uses, we ask all Visitors to use caution and beware of rough road surfaces and vehicles.
  • We require all dogs to be on 6’ leashes and that owners pick up after their dogs and bag and dispose of dog-waste in proper waste receptacles.
  • We also have within the District a dog training facility that does grooming, training, boarding and day-care.
What is your COVID-19 policy?2022-07-29T12:27:00-04:00

Vaccines are not required to enter the District but masks are required in hallways and other common areas inside buildings regardless of vaccination status. Masking is optional outdoors. Individual businesses may elect their own policies within their leased premises.

Please be respectful of all artworks in the District. Do not climb on the sculptures.
